"I looked at all the homeless abandoned animals ...the cast-offs of human
Society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and
betrayal. And I was angry. "God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you
do something?" God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly.
"I have done something," He replied. "I created You."

We make a difference every day. Will you help us continue?

We are NOT a rescue service in Burke County, Georgia.
But we do make a difference for many unfortunate animals in Burke County Georgia. We do
not go to other counties looking for animals. There are more that can be helped here at home!

We encourage pet adoption and no-kill shelters.

The animals pictured on our Cat, Dog & Critter pages are permanent sanctuary residents.

Please check our PetFinder page for any adoptable pets.

I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good
thing I can do to any fellow-being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this
way again. William Penn

Five abandoned babies go to homes in Connecticut!
<<This is Henna! She is in urgent need of a forever home. If you are in Burke
County Ga & can offer Henna a forever home, use the contact page & let us know!
She is about 4/5 months old. She has been spayed & is UTD. Henna is a
Chocolate Lab X weighing 28 #. She was saved after being hunted down & being
shot at for two days. This little girl is very shy, but has a great personality. She
has beautiful expressive eyes & would make a great family pet. Because she has
been hounded & shot at by humans, she will need lots of TLC. She already goes
to the door & asks to be let out, but may need to have that reinforced with
kindness.
"I am involved in animal rescue. My gas tank and wallet are always empty, my house is full of hair and my
inbox full of sadness, but my heart is full of joy when I hear of those that are saved." Author Unknown
